Terms of Service

Pixel Buddy is a service operated by Acepsoft LLC. These terms cover what is specific to Pixel Buddy. Acepsoft LLC's general Terms of Service also apply to your use of this service; where a conflict exists on a Pixel Buddy-specific matter, the terms on this page govern.

The service

Pixel Buddy provides an embeddable animated mascot widget plus a hosted dashboard to configure it, on paid Pro and Enterprise plans. You are responsible for the content and operation of the websites on which you install the widget.

Plans, billing & cancellation

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe at the price shown at checkout.
• You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — access continues until then, and partial periods are not refunded.
• Each plan includes defined limits (such as domains and buddies per site). Current limits are shown on the pricing page and in your dashboard.
• We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice; changes do not affect the period you have already paid for.

Open-source widget & license

The open-source Pixel Buddy widget (pixelbuddy.js) is distributed on GitHub under the MIT License and may be self-hosted free of charge under that license. These Terms govern only the hosted, paid service — not your use of the open-source code, which is governed by the MIT License accompanying it.

Your content & intellectual property

You keep ownership of the buddies, pixel artwork, messages, and other content you create or configure through the service ("Your Content"). You grant Acepsoft LLC the limited licence needed to host, store, reproduce, and serve Your Content for the purpose of operating the service for you.

You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent and warrant that you own it or have all rights necessary to use it, and that it does not infringe or violate any third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property or proprietary rights. You must not create, upload, or configure buddies or other content that copies or imitates characters, logos, or artwork you do not have the right to use.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Acepsoft LLC from any claim, demand, loss, or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or from your breach of this section. We may remove or disable any content we reasonably believe infringes a third party's rights or breaches these terms, and may suspend or terminate accounts for repeat infringement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, abusing automated features, or using it for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content. We may suspend or limit access where we reasonably detect abuse.

Warranty & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acepsoft LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination & data deletion

You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.

If your account has no active paid subscription for 12 months after a paid plan ends, we will permanently delete the account and all data associated with it — including your sites, buddies, conditional messages, A/B tests, and analytics history. We will email the account at least 15 days before deletion. Starting a paid plan again before the deletion date keeps your account and data. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
